While walking around town, you might come across a shop with a fragrant aroma.
The sign reads "Home-Roasting Coffee Shop."
When I say fragrant, I mean a different aroma from the aroma you get when beans are ground in a 7-Eleven coffee maker; it has a distinctive caramel-like aroma.
This aroma comes from roasting green coffee beans to brown them.
Home-roasting shops differ from coffee shops and cafes that sell pre-roasted beans in that they start with the green beans.
Because the coffee is made from beans immediately after roasting, you can sense its rich freshness and flavor.
Furthermore, they can adjust the degree of roasting, blend ratio, and flavor, allowing them to create a unique flavor that is unique to each shop.
The shop also chooses the origin of the green beans, so they can express their individuality here as well.
As I've already written here and here, coffee beans have different flavors depending on their origin.
In addition to serving coffee, they also sell roasted beans in-store and offer a roasting service where they take orders online or by phone.
